The Project

Nexus Community Partners originally came to us looking for a refresh of their existing site. In the following years, we continued to assist with updates, problems and questions about the website.

Several years later it became clear that Nexus needed a site that better reflected who they were as an organization, as well as a more streamlined look that was easier to update and loaded faster than the original.

We initially revised their branding guidelines, tweaking the typefaces, colors and general logo configuration.

Next we started on their website, collaborating closely throughout the process to make sure each Nexus program was cohesive with the rest but also had its own specific style and layout to reflect the program better.

The design and build ensured a more consistent and contemporary look, as well as speeding up the site considerably to make it easier for visitors to navigate.

Jay McKey of the McKey Group was looking for a new, simplified website that highlighted his book, Leveraging the Field for Success as well as his speaking engagements. We and simplified the existing content, and then designed and built a one-page website that perfectly encapsulated Jay’s mission and work.

Jay McKey is the author of Levarging the Field for Success. For 28 years Jay has been leading data analysis teams at a Big Four firm, with a Fortune 100 corporation, and at the Office of Inspector General.

The Project

Long-term client Hospital Pathology Associates (HPA) felt their existing site didn’t adequately convey who they were or the scope of their services. It was also difficult for patients to find answers about procedures or billing, resulting in an increased number of calls to the office.

We designed and developed a new website with the capability of a relational database, to easily add team members, locations and services, which could all be linked together through the enhanced database.

For the content, we enlisted Nawe Partners to develop all content for the site as well as consult closely with HPA on crafting their biographies and service descriptions.

Delmar Capital wanted an updated website whose design evoked their business interests. We took the existing content and reorganized the navigation and content, and then designed and built a website that better represented their company’s vision.

Maverick Investment Co. was looking for a simple website to function as a brochure piece. Planet Claire designed and built a one-page website highlighting the company and its holdings with an infrastructure that can easily be expanded to include press releases, team members and a portfolio as the business continues to grow.

Maverick is a New York-based holding company focused on middle-market aerospace & defense businesses. Backed by Gardner Standard, Maverick accomplished its first acquisition in 2020 and its second acquisition in 2021.

Neighborhood Development Center’s existing website had a dated look and layout, and was becoming increasingly difficult to update for its team members.

We designed and built a new website design in keeping with contemporary web design principles and based on their existing branding pieces. We also reworked the site infrastructure to allow their teams to easily create and update page content, events and news items.

The Client

Neighborhood Development Center is a non-profit, community development financial institution providing integrated business services for entrepreneurs to start and grow businesses “that enrich their economic and social fabric”.

Nawe Partners was looking for a simple one-page design similar to their current site, but with an updated look. We put together an updated color palette and, using color blocks and representative icons, designed a website that presented a stronger visual impact.

Nawe Partners works with a variety of Fortune 50 companies and non-profit organizations, focusing on communications strategy, content and consultation.

The Project

Keri Pickett’s existing website primarily highlighted her photography portfolio. Since her recent work had been more focused on filmmaking, she needed a website that would show the scope and breadth of her work, as well as focus separately on each area—filmmaking, photography and books. She also needed an easier way to add and arrange multiple images to her blog posts.

We built a website that brought attention to each area of her work throughout the site, while highlighting a variety of film clips from her most recent projects. We then implemented a new blog posting method allowing her to easily upload and curate each collection.

Keri Pickett of Pickett Pictures is an award-winning filmmaker, photographer, author and artist. Her films have been nominated for a number of documentary feature film awards, and her photographs are in International and National museum collections.

The Project

Roy Blakey of The Ice Stage Archive was interested in an updated website to organize the Archive in a format that allowed for easy browsing on multiple devices.

Planet Claire took images and text from the existing website and integrated it into a new design and format. We created a system to customize how each image gallery was displayed, allowing for a variety of configurations that best fit the content.

The Client

Roy Blakey has spent over seventy years—fifteen of which were spent performing around the world in ice shows—amassing a collection of Ice Stage paraphernalia. His collection is now encapsulated in The Ice Stage Archive, which is dedicated to preserving the world-wide history of theatrical skating.

The Project

The Metropolitan Center for Independent Living’s existing site was not welcoming or informative experience for visitors, something that was important to MCIL to provide. They tasked planet Claire with creating a new website experience as well as branding guidelines based on their existing logo.

Planet Claire created guidelines for both web and print as well as collateral pieces for the organization, including letterhead and business cards.

For the website design, we kept to a simple format to ensure it was a design that would translate well to an ADA-compliant, accessible website, while still feeling like a well-designed, welcoming website. We incorporated images and large color blocks to add personality, as well as design elements from our branding guidelines.

The Client

The Metropolitan Center for Independent Living (MCIL), works to empower members of the disability community to overcome barriers and discover access, choices, and the possibility to realize their goals and aspirations.

The Project

American Jewish World’s existing website was removed by their hosting company, which claimed the site had been infected. The hosting company then created a new domain, imported all content into a new template, and launched that site. When we stepped in, we immediately moved hosting companies and restored the original domain name.

For the new website layout, we took all existing articles and re-categorized them to make it easier for readers to navigate the website and find relevant content. We then used a format that more closely resembled a news site.

The Client

The American Jewish World has been publishing for over 100 years and has served as an important news resource for the Jewish community. The Jewish World unites the main Jewish communities in St. Paul and Minneapolis, as well as those in Duluth, Rochester and smaller cities, and bridges the divides between the various Jewish religious streams.
