The Project

Roy Blakey of The Ice Stage Archive was interested in an updated website to organize the Archive in a format that allowed for easy browsing on multiple devices.

Planet Claire took images and text from the existing website and integrated it into a new design and format. We created a system to customize how each image gallery was displayed, allowing for a variety of configurations that best fit the content.

The Client

Roy Blakey has spent over seventy years—fifteen of which were spent performing around the world in ice shows—amassing a collection of Ice Stage paraphernalia. His collection is now encapsulated in The Ice Stage Archive, which is dedicated to preserving the world-wide history of theatrical skating.
